Problem with ARCH LINUX USB on MSI Bravo laptop
Yesterday I set up Arch Linux on a USB drive and everything functioned properly. After restarting the computer, the laptop still doesn’t boot from the USB, even though it’s listed as the first boot option. When I attempt to use it from the boot menu, the screen remains black for roughly two seconds before returning to the boot menu. On the second attempt it successfully loads Windows. The best part is that on a friend’s HP laptop it works when they create a new boot entry. I’m using MSI Click BIOS and can locate the “Add Boot Option” feature. Thanks in advance.
It seems unusual. Have you attempted turning off the Windows installation drive and using just the USB boot option?
I attempted but it kept looping through bios. Your friend’s method might be in the right sequence—please confirm the photo order.
You're asking about installing efibootmgr during an Arch Linux installation. That's correct—efibootmgr is typically added to the base system during the initial setup.
