I've been using this configuration for more than a year. Recently I switched to Windows 11 and everything worked fine, but today I faced an issue with an IO error. Unplugging and replugging the SSD fixed it, though when I tried running COD Warzone and Chrome at the same time it became slow. In Task Manager I saw the RAM at 2990 MHz and only 16 GB out of 32 GB was available. I attempted to update BIOS, then went back to Windows 10, and even tried reverting to the old BIOS, but XMP profile caused a power cycle without applying it. Please help me resolve this. My specs were: Ryzen 2700X CPU, GTX 1660s GPU, 4x8 GB RAM, 3200 MHz LPDDR5X, Vengeance RAM kit SSD, HDD 650W PSU, Aorus X570 ultra M.2.

That's a fascinating tale. It seems the memory controller finally acknowledged the four XMP sticks. Its speed reaches up to 2933mhz—impressive! I'm surprised it managed such high frequency initially. To confirm whether the issue lies with the controller or the board, the fastest option would be testing another CPU. Even an older Athlon 200ge from eBay could work. Ideally, start with default settings and compare CMOS after swapping processors. From my experience, my 2700x doesn't really play well with the Vengeance setup.

The RAM is currently at 32 GB but the frequency remains at 2133 MHz. Would it be possible to increase it to 3200 MHz? I believe the motherboard should handle this, the issue is likely with the processor. The post codes for LEDs, DRAM, VGA, and boot don’t blink continuously on the CPU either.

If the IMC encounters a problem, post code errors won't occur since the system remains functional. You might attempt to activate DOCP and adjust the dram frequency to 2933mt/s to test its effectiveness. However, with only 16GB available from a 32GB capacity, consider removing two drives from slots A1 and B1, keeping A2 and B2 free (slots 2 and 4). I still recommend trying a different CPU if one is accessible.

I managed to resolve the issue by updating the chipset driver (Windows 11 release), then adjusting the BIOS for Windows 11 support. Clearing the CMOS restored the RAM to 3200MHz, and the Windows 32GB is now working properly. It also fixed in Windows 10.
