Hello everyone, I'm facing a overheating problem with my newly built system. The AMD EPYC 9554 is running on a Gigabyte MZ73-LM0 board, and initial tests show temperatures in the Tctl/Tdie range surpassing 100°C. This triggers thermal limits, causing performance drops. Should we rely on the data from HWiNFO64? Disabling Core Performance Boost might help. Please share your thoughts and feedback.

Build details:
- Motherboard: Gigabyte MZ73-LM0 Rev 2.0
- CPU: AMD EPYC 9554
- RAM: 12 sticks, 32GB DDR5
- Storage: One NVMe drive
- GPU: RTX 3060
- OS: Windows 10 Pro & Linux
- Cooling: Full water cooling, 25°C water temperature

Best regards and thanks!

Well, it seems the cooling block you received might not be functioning correctly, or perhaps it wasn't installed properly.

It seems unusual that each CCD temperature is significantly lower than the average. This suggests a localized hotspot outside the core area and not in the input die. I’m curious if there might be a mounting problem with the CPU itself—possibly beyond just the cooler, or if it’s not properly seated in the socket.

Could be pressure problems or insufficient adhesive. Installing on these parts is challenging, and it’s likely there’s an air pocket trapped beneath the block.
