Laptop: Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 15arh7 After installing the SSD, I ran a test with Crystal Disk Mark and attempted to launch a game. When downloading just a few gigabytes, an error popped up in the launcher, and the task manager listed the SSD as unknown. Re-seating it didn’t fix the issue. Using Adata SSD tool, the firmware was confirmed safe, but the game still failed to install. Should I consider a refund or replacement?

Can you try the drive on another machine? It's safer to be sure. If you encounter problems with the SSD, swapping in a reliable replacement would be preferable over staying with a faulty one.

I downloaded Left 4 Dead 2 on Steam and it worked perfectly. I'm pretty sure the installer was Hoyoplay. Regarding SMART data, it's a way to track your SSD's health and performance.

Collect CyrstalDiskInfo, execute it, capture a snapshot (Win + Shift + S), submit it here

I'm sorry, I didn't mention that before. I've already sent back the SSD to the seller so they can review it. I saw on Reddit many people suggested just returning the SSD to the seller.

the ssd just came back from repair and I attempted to transfer games and files (about 58 gb). everything worked fine until I tried to download a 20gb game, which triggered a write disk error and showed "unknown" in Task Manager. I restarted the laptop immediately, but it disappeared from the BIOS and reappeared afterward.
