Hey everyone, I just upgraded my PC and everything is working smoothly. I installed the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility and set the active core count to always stay at one. During stress tests, benchmarks, or games, it consistently remains at one core regardless of the workload. Even the minimum and maximum readings stay at one. I reinstalled Windows, reset BIOS to default settings, and made sure Windows isn’t limiting cores. I also reinstalled Intel XTU but didn’t notice any changes. My max core frequency is often showing -3.20GHz, but I’m not sure what that means. Games are running well and temperatures are normal. All drivers are current, and my system specs match the components: i9-12900K, Asus ROG Strix Z690, 32GB RAM, Corsair Vengeance 5200MHz, RTX 2080 Ti, and an ASUS ROG Thor 1200W PSU.

@Pure85 Consider using HWINFO for more accurate data. Intel XTU might be misreporting active cores. Check Task Manager for 16 cores and 24 logical processors. Some Windows 11 virtualization tools can prevent monitoring software from accessing certain CPU registers. Perform a consistent test such as Cinebench R23 and observe CPU performance in HWINFO during the run. Search online to compare your findings with others.

All my checks confirm 16 cores and 24 threads. I’ll follow your instructions and get back to you! Thank you!
