Problem with activating secure boot on Gigabyte BIOS.
Problem with activating secure boot on Gigabyte BIOS.
Hello, I flashed an updated version of the gigabyte bios my computer shipped with today due to some issues I was having with my computer that I was told had to due with the faulty update my bios was on, after flashing it I tried to enable secure boot / tpm but ran into the issue of "Secure boot can be enabled when in user mode. repeat operation after enrolling platform keys (PK)". I've tried every fix I can find to this error code, I've tried to reinstate the default keys a million times, but it doesn't work, it doesn't generate any keys. I checked and my SYSINFO says that my bios is in UEFI mode but I cant change the "System mode" from "setup" to "user" so I can't properly turn on secure boot. Both of my drives are GUID partitions so its not an error with master boot record, secure boot worked fine before flashing the update. Please help me fix this issue.
I'm facing the same issue again. I need secure boot enabled to play Valorant, but it was working fine before. I changed my BIOS two days ago and disabled secure boot. When I tried to enable it, the same error appeared. I switched to custom mode and restored factory keys, but nothing changed. The factory key screen showed zero keys. Others restored the keys and it worked as expected, though I suspect the BIOS update might have caused this problem. It seems like the issue is related to the BIOS version. Please help if you can.
I own a B550 Aorus Elite Rev 1.0, just upgraded from BIOS f14 to f19c which caused the issue. I kept hitting "Reset Factory Keys" in BIOS but it didn't help. After reading this thread, I decided to revert to BIOS version f18 and now secure boot is functioning properly.
