Problem with Acer 7730G: Screen fails to activate upon powering on the computer.
Occasionally happens when I power on my Acer7730g, only the first time the PC starts and the second time the display turns on correctly. After booting up, the Windows logo appears but the OS doesn’t load properly—just a blink screen that switches from the boot logo to the Windows welcome, which remains off. The only way to get the PC running is to turn it off completely with the power button. Once I power it back on normally, the display works fine and everything functions well. However, this method can damage the hard drive and cause the whole system to shut down unexpectedly.

It’s recommended to stop using the netbook since Windows 10 support will end soon. If you’re like me, consider upgrading with a budget SSD and swapping out the HDD. Once that’s done, reinstall Windows 10.

I was using a PC Acer for most of the day, then I turned it off. Now I power it back on and see the Windows logo but a black screen appears. What should I do? I’m unsure if forcing shutdown will damage the SSD or board, and I don’t know what to do. Is travelmate 7030g Acer Windows10?
