Problem with accessing data on the hard drive.
I had two Seagate Barracuda 1 TB drives installed in my PC using RAID 1 through Windows Disk Management. After replacing them with new drives, I still can’t locate the old ones in This PC. Windows recognizes the USB drive when it’s plugged in and makes a sound, but it doesn’t show up in the file system. Could it be a formatting or file system issue?
Click the start button, navigate to disk management. It displays the information for that drive. Raid0 appears as a basic mirror, indicating both drives are individually accessible.
The G and H drives are my Google Drive backups, T is a partition on my M.2 C drive—don’t check those. D represents the latest RAID configuration. On the Device Manager, the USB drive appears as "ST1000DM 010-2Ep102 SCSI disk device" and it’s functioning correctly.
I connected the additional storage unit into the compartment and saw "disk 4" listed in disk management. When I clicked right on it, the menu appeared. It looks like either converting it to a basic disk or reactivating it might be what you need—whichever option fits best.
