Problem with a certain game called Fortnite.
Here’s a rewritten version of the text:
I'm experiencing significant performance issues with Fortnite, specifically high lag and audio cutouts during gameplay and voice chat sessions. This only occurs within Fortnite itself, unlike other games like Call of Duty Warzone, GTA V, or Rainbow Six Siege where I have no problems. I recently upgraded my GPU (GTX 1660 Super) and updated my drivers, but the issue persists. The problem seems to be exacerbated when using Discord or similar messaging apps alongside Fortnite.
I’ve tried reinstalling Fortnite multiple times without success. I'm considering upgrading my RAM from 8GB to 16GB to see if that resolves the issue, though I’m unsure if it’s the root cause. My system specs are: i3-8350K @ 4GHz, GTX 1660 Super, and currently 8GB of RAM.
I've read that switching between NVIDIA GPUs isn't always necessary when upgrading, but I believe this is not the issue. Fortnite seems to be heavily CPU-dependent, and I’m wondering if there might be a bottleneck or compatibility problem. Could it potentially be related to insufficient RAM, or perhaps an issue with how Fortnite interacts with my drivers/system?
Hello alexulmiste,
I think the problem is that the CPU that you have is too weak for the GTX 1660 Super. I suggest you upgrade the CPU so that there is no bottleneck, upgrade the RAM to 16GB and also try reinstalling Windows 10 to see if that fixes your issue.
Here’s a rewritten version of the text, aiming for clarity and flow while retaining the core information:
“The issue I've encountered is consistently with Fortnite, despite using different graphics cards like the GTX 1050 Ti and 1660 Super. It seems to be a specific quirk related to Fortnite itself, as it hasn't affected other games I’ve played. I initially suspected my hardware was failing, but that theory has been repeatedly disproven across multiple cards. The problem only manifests within the Fortnite environment.”
hi, i have same problem: recently upgraded to 1060 6gb and only fortnite stuttering sometimes textures not loading. my pc: i5-3450 8gb ram
Yeah, im still facing this issue. Its weird and i don't know why it's happening. Im starting to think that the game is not optimized well for weaker CPU's.
