Hey there. I bought the 3700x a few months ago and I'm already not happy with it. I'm not sure how it works or what's wrong, but these are the problems I'm facing:
1. I tried playing Apex for a short time, but the game ran very slow, stuttering so much that I got under 40fps. After a while it worked better, but I still don't see any CPU or GPU stress.
2. When playing games or watching movies on a second monitor, the second screen would freeze. I've updated my BIOS and CPU info, but it's still happening.
I'm thinking about switching from AMD to Intel if I have the chance to sell this build. I might buy an Intel 10700k instead. Thanks for your help! XD
I own the 3700X without any problems you mentioned. I don’t play Apex, but your CSGO issue isn’t affecting me. Run a hardware monitor while you experience stuttering—perhaps some cores aren’t waking from sleep. If so, turn off fast-boot settings in Windows and BIOS.
happened to me too, but now it doesn't occur because I swapped out my SSD for an M.2 drive. Usually it happens during explosions or while loading, which is odd when paired with a 2080.

I’d consider it differently because it was my first experience with Amd, and this happened unexpectedly.
Check if the boot drive matches your setup. Did you perform a new Windows installation? What graphics card are you using? Are the temperatures normal? Have XMP/DCPD features been activated?
It might help to restart the operating system. Your issue could be different, but the stuttering persisted even without gaming on your 2700X during setup. After reinstalling, the problem disappeared completely.
I fixed the problem. It’s regrettable that I had to reinstall my OS, plus I was told whether switching to a new CPU and memory would help with a fresh setup. In any case, the trouble came from using Sound Studio 3. When you split audio for the game versus the movie—headphones versus speakers—you encounter this issue. It doesn’t happen in every game, but it does occur in some cases.
