Problem repairing PS4 controller using Windows?
I am baffled and frustrated. Yesterday my controller defaulted to an audio device while being plugged in for charging so I removed it from audio. Since then it refuses to pair correctly with Windows. I will hold down the home button and be prompted from the add a device notifiication. This'll bring me to the devices window where I will confirm the pairing and it will be listed as "wireless controller" in mouse, keyboard and pen. As soon as I close the window it does away. Hence as soon as I load up a game there's no communication. I refuse to go back to using a cable and even when I do it mutes everything. It's messed up. I have my controller paired with bluetooth.
consider attempting to eliminate any entries related to the controller and check if reconnecting works correctly again
