So, I'm experiencing an issue with these UPS units; they seem to fail after about an hour of operation. Is this a recognized problem? Are there ways to modify it? What might be behind this behavior?

You're asking for clarification on how long the UPS operates before shutting down, whether it disconnects power to connected devices, and if there are any special behaviors. Also, you want to know about the location of these UPS units and their voltage compatibility.

Hello. You're describing how the UPS functions normally for roughly an hour before abruptly shutting down and disconnecting all connected devices, as though manually turning it off.

It's a battery system; once it runs out of stored energy it shuts off. The idea is that when the main power drops, the battery kicks in so you can manually turn off any devices connected to it, and then it stops working. It's not designed to keep your equipment running indefinitely.

I'm confident the issue isn't with the battery, since I've checked it several times.
Might there be another reason behind this? Other APC UPS models seem to last longer.

Reach out to APC and inquire about the problem.
If you're willing to pay little - you'll get monkeys.
These two UPS units are near the bottom of the list, using standby topology (the cheapest available). A small improvement is that they generate simulated sine waves instead of square waves, which isn't ideal for PCs either.
A proper UPS suitable for PCs would provide a true or pure sine wave with line-interactive design (such as my CyberPower CP1300EPFCLCD). An ideal choice would be a double-conversion topology (online).
It also depends on the capacity of your UPS. Your units are 650VA/400W, whereas mine is 1300VA/780W. A 50W load on your UPS lasts about an hour, while the same load on my unit lasts around two hours.
Of course, UPS isn't intended for continuous power generation or battery use to run hardware without electricity. It's meant for backup power during outages, allowing safe shutdown of your PC without data loss or hardware damage. If you need extended operation without main power, consider a generator (gasoline or diesel).

Could there be any problem with this specific UPS type, because I have tested my batteries, and they are fine? Even using multiple batteries wouldn't work, and I was testing it not on a pc, but on devices with quite smaller power consumpiton?
