After two days, I noticed an unusual problem. My machine restarts whenever I shut it down from the Start Menu. If I put it to sleep, it remains active without waking up. Initially, everything functioned normally for the first few days, but power settings kept being adjusted to force shutdown. I've tried all the steps listed: 1. Turn off Fast Startup 2. Disable Automatic Restart due to Crash 3. Activate Powerdown After Shutdown Option in Registry Editor 4. Run System File Checker 5. Disable Network Adapter from waking the PC 6. Update Windows 7. Forced shutdown 7. Enable Safe Boot Mode 8. Perform a clean boot 9. Restore system point 10. Reset BIOS settings (latest for my motherboard) – any other suggestions would be appreciated. It would depend on the device. You can usually disable it from the start menu or by pressing the power button. If you hold the power button while turning it off, it may restart automatically.
I turned it off using the Start menu as usual, but then it restarted back into Windows login. The fans or RGB lights stayed on before rebooting, so the computer never completely shut down before restarting again. Pressing the power button stops the PC and doesn’t automatically turn it back on.
Check your BIOS settings and disable any wake-on-LAN or USB options. Search for your motherboard online to identify related features and ensure they’re turned off. Try this adjustment to resolve the problem.
