Checked if the chipset driver was refreshed prior to updating the BIOS. On the MSI site, the bios download page mentions updating the AMD Chipset Driver to version 18.50.16.01 or higher before proceeding with the BIOS update.

Check out the USB programmer for laptops or desktops on eBay. Attach the clips to the BIOS chip on the motherboard. Watch a YouTube tutorial and be aware this is done at your own risk—I recommend handling it through RMA if needed.
