I activated "Secure Boot" on my h310m s2h motherboard, which prevented it from booting into BIOS. I've removed the CMOS battery, left it for a period, and then reinserted it. I also tried operating the PC without the CMOS at all. I attempted to short the pins but had no success. Are there alternative methods to reset the BIOS without modifying the MOBO? For reference, it worked without Secure Boot only when Vanguard prompted me to do so. I've also tried using a flash drive with a BIOS Update, but nothing changed. The machine powers on but remains inactive.

Disconnect all storage devices (NVMe/SATA). Test posting, enter BIOS, disable Secure Boot if possible. Verify GPT or MBR partitioning settings... Use the Computer Management console > Disc Management > Properties. If it's MBR, convert to GPT before enabling Secure Boot. Refer to the guide: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/window...mbr-to-gpt. Also confirm other Secure Boot prerequisites before retrying. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/wind...3abef64fad

Welcome to Secure Boot. This ensures your OS manages BIOS access. To start, when using Windows, keep the Shift key pressed while clicking the reboot option. This will launch Troubleshooting Mode, where you’ll find UEFI settings under Troubleshooting or Advanced. Alternatively, power off by turning off power three times with Windows installed to enter Troubleshooting Mode. If you attempt to reset BIOS by removing the battery or shorting the pins, ensure the battery is removed and leave it for about 20 minutes. Shorting the pins for at least 10 seconds is also recommended. In both scenarios, make sure the back panel or power cord is disconnected, and consider using the power button to discharge capacitors more quickly while waiting.

so, update: Tried running with all storage removed: didn't post to bios I will try removing CMOS and leaving it out for a hour to see if that'll help, but shorting pins didn't work. Also, furthermore, I cannot access windows. My pc doesn't even get to BIOS.

Thank you for your message. I appreciate you bringing this up. It seems I didn’t provide enough information about the GPU. You were hoping to know more, and I’m glad I could help you find a solution.

so... I dont mean to revive this older thread but... let's say you don't have igpu. Is the only hope really to get another gpu or get a used cpu with integrated graphics?

It seems like you're discussing a solution to a problem. The only approach you've identified so far is this one.
