Updated my previous RAM modules to 2x8GB 3600 16-19-19-39 Trident Z Neo, but they still don’t function correctly with XMP or manual overclocking. I frequently encounter BSoD messages about memory management and other crashes. I’ve also attempted to manually adjust the clock speed to 3200mhz and tried different voltage settings, yet stability remains an issue. They only work reliably at their default speeds. My CPU and motherboard are an i7-8700K with MSI Z370-A Pro, and the QVL lists my RAM correctly.
Increase speeds progressively until instability occurs. Testing alternative RAM or RMA units might not meet your desired performance, indicating a potentially faulty CPU IMC. Exceeding Intel's stock specifications (XMP) can override the IMC settings. Possible causes include inadequate motherboard traces or insufficient power delivery. I've observed improved memory clock speeds with superior motherboards.
Return the memory and get a better kit. F4-3600C16D-16GTZSW The SW at the end of the part number indicates the memories color. Silver and White. Drop the SW completely, the sticks will be red . I have this set. Drop the SW but add in the KW , this color is black and white. For a little more flavor and expense, RGB is always fun. But too bad the Red and RGB are out of stock, so only Black and silver to choose from. Any how, hope this helps. And yes, it's B-Die.
