Problem! My computer won’t start, it worked perfectly the day before.
I noticed something odd when I tried to power on the PC. It wouldn’t turn on, no fan noise, just a black screen. After taking apart everything, I started testing. The PSU jump started and it worked fine. The 4+4 pin for the CPU gave accurate readings in the multimeter. The 24-pin connector showed strange voltages at some pins—maybe I was measuring incorrectly. I rebuilt it with just the CPU and one stick of RAM, then with both. It would turn on sometimes and other times not... That’s unusual. I reassembled everything including fans, SSD, and HDD. After a few minutes, the PC turned on again. The issue seemed to reset after a short shutdown. After reinserting the CMOS battery, it worked. I left it off for about 30 minutes, then tried turning it back on. It came back on again. If there’s still trouble, I’ll check the CMOS battery again.
New account. Everything seems fine. I'm checking if turning it off after some time without using an XMP profile in BIOS brings up the issue again. It's strange that a setting that worked well for almost four years could become a problem now... I just want to see what happens.
