Problem encountered with Windows issues following graphics driver update. Crashes and boot loops occurred.
I'm using Windows 10 and assembled my system with all new components when the 30 series was released. Around September 2022, I upgraded my graphics driver from GeForce Experience and the process began. Initially, a black screen appeared, showing messages like "diagnosing problems" and "attempting automatic repair." I managed to return to Windows, but all my open applications became corrupted, including GeForce Experience which failed to install properly. From that point on, every driver update resulted in the same outcome. Recently, I tried some online solutions—disconnecting a monitor, booting in safe mode, and installing the latest driver worked. After restarting to normal Windows, it functioned correctly. However, when I connected my second monitor, the blue screen reappeared and persisted. Now I have no choice but to shut down or access advanced settings, which doesn’t help. I’m trying to figure out why this is happening and believe the issue stems from reverting to an older driver. I can’t open Windows without crashes or blue screens, even in safe mode. Essentially, the fix I tried in safe mode didn’t resolve the problem, and I’m stuck with limited options.
Share your complete system details. The bluescreening after connecting a monitor appears unusual, possibly due to power management problems. Have you checked with an OS installed from a detachable device or secondary drive? This might help determine if the issue lies with your operating system or a more serious hardware problem.

Consider checking the HDMI output from your monitor to rule out any electrical issues. If you don’t have another storage option, use a USB drive and install Windows on it to test. Alternatively, you could reinstall your operating system, which might resolve the problem. This approach seems likely to help.
Use the advanced options, launch the command prompt, and execute some diagnostic utilities. 1. "chkdsk /f /r c:" will scan your C: drive for issues. 2. "sfc /scannow" will verify system file integrity. If successful and you can boot, attempt to fully remove your NVIDIA drivers (Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 18.0.5.9 from guru3d.com) and then reinstall them. Consider booting into safe mode to reinstall the drivers.
Thanks for your messages. I'm glad you found the solutions helpful. I attempted the fixes and unfortunately it didn't resolve the issue, so I had to take my PC to a store. They completely wiped everything and reinstalled Windows 10. I wish I could have found a quicker way, but this is the best option if anyone else faces the same problem.
