Problem encountered with media driver during Windows setup.
Hello everyone. I'm working on setting up my HTPC and facing an issue while trying to install Windows. The error keeps appearing, and I've already reinstalled the OS without success. Someone can help explain what's going on or suggest a solution. Thanks!

I don’t notice anything that needs additional drivers for Windows setup. Usually it appears only with specialized RAID cards or cutting-edge hardware that Windows doesn’t support. Your SSD is outdated, as is your WD Blue drive. Have you adjusted any BIOS settings before attempting to install Windows? I’d begin by loading the default configuration in BIOS and retrying.
It checks before presenting the drive manager for selection. Does your BIOS show the SSD as connected and functioning? The next step would be to generate a Linux Live USB, boot into Linux, and use GParted to verify access. It might be that Windows isn't detecting the SSD and is asking for drivers instead.
A few days after, I resolved it. Oddly enough, it worked with another USB port. Still strange, but funny 😄
