You're looking at the magnifying glass icon with the plus sign. That indicates you're currently zoomed in. Pressing Ctrl+0 will return you to the normal view! Let me know if you need anything else.

Consider adjusting your preferences and removing that image from your favorites list. You might also want to delete your current profile—extensions will need to be reinstalled—and reset Chrome to its default configuration. Before removing anything, save your bookmarks by clicking the small stacked icon next to the Adblock plus button in the top-right corner, then navigating to bookmarks to save an HTML file. After resetting Chrome, you can reload the saved bookmarks to restore them.

It's the Chrome interface that doesn't resize properly, unfortunately I don't think it can be altered.
