Problem encountered when starting the computer.
Hi there, my name is Kev. I’m dealing with a tricky situation on my PC. About six weeks ago, the ceiling collapsed and water spread everywhere. My computer was right at the bottom, but it’s still working—though it shows an error: “CPU Fan speed error detected.” It powers up normally, but I suspect the water cooler might be damaged. I swapped it out with a 212 Evo master cooler, and installation was surprisingly smooth! I’ve checked online, but the only solution mentioned is adjusting the BIOS or monitor settings to ignore the fan speed. The issue seems to happen only when the cooler is connected. My motherboard is an Asus Maximus VIII Hero model. I’m confused because the fan spins when the cooler is plugged in, but not when it’s connected to the CPU. I can’t get past this part of the boot and need help. Thanks! P.S. I’m trying to fix it before giving it away.
