Problem encountered during the fresh build process.
I constructed my fourth machine for a lab environment. Troubleshooting details: R3 3200G, 64GB RAM, 250GB M.2 SSD, Gigabyte B450M-DS3H v1. My issue: I can't reach BIOS or boot anything. After resetting BIOS, the system starts but flashes BIOS logo for 0.1 seconds (tried pressing DEL repeatedly for 50 times, still no effect). It freezes on the American Megatrends logo screen with no text or debug info. I noticed the motherboard was moved from my previous build (R7 3700X). I really need any helpful suggestions to fix this, as it delayed my lab setup schedule.
Connect the keyboard via a USB 2.0 port with black ports positioned above the PS/2 connector. Experiment with pressing F2 instead of Del; DEL, F2, and F10 are typically the keys for accessing BIOS. If issues persist, disconnect all storage devices to allow more time to enter BIOS.
Reviewed the support documentation and confirmed compatibility between the 3700X and 3400G BIOS versions. Firmware support is confirmed. Regarding performance, the 3400G uses a Zen+ architecture while the 3700X has a Zen2, which may limit memory controller capabilities. Consider running with reduced RAM to see if performance improves.
