Problem encountered during installation of the latest version.
I'm working on assembling a machine for a friend. It comes with a Ryzen 7 3700X, G.Skill DRDRAM, 4GB DDR4, Sapphire Radeon 5700X, 650W power supply, 970 Evo M.2 SSD, and an Aorus B550 Pro AC. The problem is it boots into the BIOS, Boot Menu, and Q-Flash but won't let me access anything. I've checked all USB ports and the keyboard lights up in every slot. I tried removing the CMOS battery thinking that might help, but it didn't work. Need advice.
Many keyboard, USB port, and motherboard setups face problems in BIOS. Often the keyboard only functions with newer protocols such as USB2 or later, while BIOS only recognizes version 1.1. Certain models like the Corsair k70 series include a switch that can disable some features to operate in a lower mode. You might want to check if your keyboard has this feature, experiment with different USB ports, or consider using a simpler keyboard.
