just installed new ram, cpu and motherboard a few days back. tried overclocking yesterday. cpu is 8700k, gpu is ASUS Strix GTX1070, and i overclocked the cpu to [email protected] without any problems during stress tests. temperatures stayed around 77 degrees. when i pushed the gpu further, my benchmark froze and the screen went black. after restarting, i heard windows boot up from a missing program sound, but the monitor remains in sleep mode. any suggestions?

Remove the video card, start it, and then attempt it once more with the video card installed.

tried with the card out and the display port cable plugged into mb but no display still. the gpu lights and fans still turn on with the computer
