It doesn't seem to function properly, but it still opens to This PC, particularly through the command prompt. Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated.

The Windows key is restricted on the system side—using the keyboard's lock key doesn't help. It seems there might be an issue between the Windows Desktop and Explorer.exe. Proceeding with SFC and Chkdsk as planned.

Check for updates in the settings explorer ms-settings:windowsupdate
Return to backup or restore options
Reinstall the operating system if needed

Ummmm maybe reinstalling sounds good but there ain't enough the USBs to do that. At least not enough of AnhDV Boot drives to take the job. Will consider but not at least. But this doesn't help if you or I does literally want to get the desktop and the taskbar comes back after crashing Explorer.exe without even restarting. If explorer.exe doesn't work and all requires relogging in (shutdown /l then type PIN) - guess there's no choice.
