Hey, I see you're facing a tricky download issue with Steam. It sounds like the problem might be related to your network setup or VPN configuration. I checked for other platforms and speed tests, but the speed drops significantly when using a VPN, which isn't happening on other services. Since your friend with the same ISP doesn’t have the same issue, it could be a local network or router problem. Have you tried switching to a different VPN provider or adjusting your connection settings? Also, make sure your router isn’t blocking the downloads. Let me know if you want more specific steps!

This functionality appears to work exclusively on one device. Have you tested it with other devices connected to the same network?

Aim for roughly 11mb/s or 90 Mbps performance.

I tested various devices and connected via both Wi-Fi and Ethernet. All encountered the same problem.

I'm curious about whether connecting to a DNS server might resolve the problem, unless you're already doing so

Steam confirms it's using MegaBytes, not megabits (or MBs versus Mbs). You need to append a zero to MBs to match the units other services use.

Apologies, I didn't note that but I confirmed it with no modifications.

I don<|pad|> a VPN is what I’m getting, 1MB/s without it and 11MB/s with it. I believe there was a typo in the original message, sorry about that.
