PC (Lenovo): Intel Celeron J1800 @ 2.41 GHz, 4.00GB RAM, Windows 8.1 DX Version 11, Intel HD Graphics with 1792MB memory
Old Laptop (Acer): Intel Core i3-2310m @ 2.10 GHz, 4.00GB RAM (2GB stick failed), 1760MB graphics memory (Intel HD Graphics 3000, Windows 10 Home DX Version 11)
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Choose a good laptop for gaming next time. (Or a solid desktop too.) Low frame rates show up in games like Minesweeper or Crysis.
The i3 offers better performance, but both are decent. He might have missed out on a Kaveri APU instead.
He shouldn't anticipate playing games with Intel integrated graphics on a Celeron.
Minesweeper performs poorly on PC, averaging around 6 to 9 frames per second. Works best with a GTX 970 at 420p resolution.
On my laptop with an i7 4702MQ, I'm seeing around 20 frames per second at 1080p low resolution with the HD 4600 in Battlefield 3. It's not too bad, but the GT750 still performs better.
