I've been trying for two days to set up Linux Mint on my ASUS E402S using a USB drive with several tools to create the installation media. Some installations recognized by BIOS, others didn't. Even when detected, some lock up the system or show errors like "isolinux.bin missing or corrupt." I've installed Linux many times across different desktops, including my Lenovo Y510P, but this BIOS is giving me trouble. Any advice would be really helpful.

I've also tested various USB ports but it didn't work.

It could be that your USB drive is faulty or you've received a corrupted installation.

It seems like the data might be damaged. Could you provide a corrected version?

Etcher remains my preferred tool; I suggest a more recent distribution like non-LTS Kubuntu, OpenSUSE or Mageia. Many favor Manjaro, but I don't endorse it. You can still run Cinnamon DE with Mageia; Geckolinux is your cinnamon alternative on OpenSUSE

I'm using Linux Mint Cinnamon 19.1 right now. I've set it up on three different laptops without any issues during installation. Please try using a different USB and download the newest version.
