Hi, this could be the same issue appearing multiple times, but I attempted everything in one thread without success (Problem 2) ... 3 problems... If a mod asks me to send three separate messages, I’ll comply now, but for now I’ll mention all three. Initially, I encountered trouble with the password save popup—unless I clicked it four or five times, it wouldn’t disappear. I thought I was infected, so I performed a full restore... All files were erased... It took a few hours...

After setting up, it didn’t wipe anything. My searches remained intact and one app (TCP View) was still present...

Windows Defender isn’t functioning properly... The error reads: "Page not available: Your IT administrator has limited access to some areas of this app, and the item you tried to access is not available. Contact IT helpdesk for more information." As described, I tried everything... This problem has occurred twice on Win11, and it always resolved itself.

I installed Malwarebytes, which took about 90 seconds to scan... It seems unreliable, but it might be a contributing factor. I deleted MB, and Windows Defender still didn’t work whether it was present or not. Before attempting a reset, both tools were running without issues.

Also, in the system tray, the Windows Defender logo appears with a green checkmark, which is confusing...?

I believe it’s because Microsoft frequently adds unnecessary bloatware to the system—things most people don’t want.

Thanks for any help.

In reality, most issues stem from users not creating, installing, configuring, or maintaining their systems correctly.

Thank you, it worked mostly. The app was removed and Windows Defender is functioning now. My searches were still tracked. That’s acceptable.
