Before starting the changes, make sure to back up your installation using Clonezilla or the built-in methods. If anything fails...you'll definitely be upset. Anyway, yes, I don’t like being watched. That’s why I’m choosing 7—it’s not that bad.

Turned off peer-to-peer updates on my laptop since Wi-Fi uploads were slowing things down. Kept them active on my main computer.

My thoughts: By the time you fix all of W10's issues, you'll likely end up with Windows 7, so I'll save time and skip Windows 10—though I'll install it on my test machine just to try it out. I'm moving to Linux in the long term; I've been using it as my main system for two days now and honestly, Windows feels outdated. Edit: Pic because of why not:

exactly, there is no reason to be all privacy freak since i doubt you are even doing anything interesting enough to spy on in the first place. What is everyone afraid of, that they get an ad with underwear they were browsing all day yesterday?
