Privacy Badger vs Adblock Plus???
Privacy Badger vs Adblock Plus???
I rely on ublock origin in Firefox—it works very well and filters most content. For stronger security and full control, consider installing Noscript.
I support @Energycore, ublock origin stands out as the top adblocker. It's open source, frequently updated, and lightweight at just 1.97MB. Adblock Plus includes a simplistic white list allowing companies to pay for certain ads, while Privacy Badger focuses more on security than blocking all ads. UBlock Origin or Privacy Badger are my choices. I no longer endorse ABP because they permit specific ads via their blocker, undermining their main goal.
They profit from ad companies to allow content through. uBlock Origin is the top choice for browser adblocking. I recommend also checking out Pi-Hole, since it protects your whole network. EDIT: Also found on PrivacyBadgers site in answer to "why aren't all ads blocked."
It's really impressive. Everything takes just five minutes to get ready. You install Raspbian stretch lite, update or upgrade, run the pihole install command, and configure three things. Then plug it into your router and set its IP as your DNS on the router. I keep thinking about writing a full guide, but honestly I'm super lazy.
