Printing stopped working in Windows 11 for a while.
My Brother HL-5150D laser printer fell out of my Windows 11 system, so now it won't show up in print settings. The official support page just tells you to update your computer or look for a driver that isn't available online. Back when I used Windows 10 on the same network, printing worked fine. But recently, Win 11 stopped connecting to the printer altogether.
I tried fixing it by changing how my shared printer settings looked (switching from "BrPrint" to something else and turning off some print options) but nothing helped. I'm scared to use the Printer Migration Tool because that tool copies all printers on a computer, which might overwrite the ones on my Win 11 machine that are already working.
The HL-5150D is actually an older model from nineteen years ago, so it's still going strong. It has two paper trays and I even have a toner cartridge sitting right here in the closet. Is there a way to just download drivers for this single printer on my Win 10 machine? Or do you have other ideas?
Thanks so much, dwd999. My old printer is working again on Win 11. I was going to scold myself for not finding that link from you when it came up, but my brain just wouldn't let me search online for it. If you know how to find the "Brother Enhanced PCL Driver," maybe you can get there too. Thanks again, very much!
