Purchased the Canon TS6240A printer, followed the setup instructions, and printed a test page successfully. The alignment of the printhead and the cleanliness of the print were also confirmed. However, when attempting to print from the computer, a blank page appeared. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Just checking if I faced the same issue when purchasing my latest printer.
I cleared all old drivers, but the new one functioned adequately.
During troubleshooting, I reached a page listing printers and scanners, where I entered "type printers" to locate the correct details.
The page displayed information about my previous printer, which appeared above the details of the new one I had just bought.
If this page lists printers I no longer own, I should click on them and select "remove device." After doing that, my new printer operated perfectly.
Check if the Test Page prints correctly. Navigate to the printers properties section, including tabs like General/Sharing/Ports/Advanced/Security. On the Advanced tab, uncheck the box and disable "Enable Advanced Printing Features," then click Apply and Ok to see if the problem resolves.
Do you have the Canon printer app installed? Are you connecting via Wi-Fi? Which application are you attempting to print from, such as a web page, PDF, or Word document? Occasionally the issue lies not with the printer but with the source; I've frequently encountered problems printing web documents and found success by saving them or downloading a PDF before printing. Before printing a file, check for a preview—if it's empty, the source may be the problem.
After setting up your printer, you might need to restart both your PC and the printer to refresh the drivers. Once both are powered off and on again, verify the Windows 11 system printer page to confirm installation. If issues persist, remove and reinstall from the system settings. Have you allowed Windows to manage printing? If yes, deselect that setting and set your printer as the default.
