I wouldn't say its flawless but ive spent at least 5 hrs just finding secrets. im not really progressing as fast as i like. But damn this game reminds of bioshocks there is tons of story and lore. Audio clips, emails, notes i love this game it's definitely one of the better sp games ive played in a long time. Anyone else feel the same. Oh and the pc port is running tremendously on ryzen
I've considered purchasing this game, but I'm struggling to make sense of paying the full cost.
She first showed me the game after she tried the demo and named it 'Bio Dead Shock Space'. That sounds right.
It's not entirely original. Prey 2017 shares very little specific detail with Prey 2006 beyond the title, which seems like Bethesda trying to tap into the ongoing excitement of a fanbase hoping for another installment. They justify the name because it loosely fits the theme—space setting, supernatural elements, firearms, which covers at least a third of all games ever released. Still, Prey 2017 works well as it stands, and I might not have enjoyed it much if it had felt like a true continuation.
It's said the situation revolved around licensing. If they hadn't kept using the "Prey" title for so long, they might have lost their intellectual property rights. Instead of pushing forward with a sequel that had been struggling for nearly ten years, they opted to reuse it in another game with comparable themes. I find myself enjoying Prey 2017 more than expected. The game encourages creativity, exploration, and offers plenty of replay value through varied endings and playstyles. I still wish for a Prey 2 that picks up where Tommy left off. Prey 2006 shared similarities with Quake 4 and Doom 3, featuring distinct mechanics and an interesting narrative. It's disappointing they won't complete the story of Prey 2006.
