It’s unlikely to fit. The LGA775 CPU and cooler you’re considering are designed for different dimensions. If the cooler is taller, you could potentially use a copper shim, but if it’s shorter, it won’t work. The main issue is the pin configuration and physical size mismatch.

The spacing for LGA775 is 71mm, while LGA1156-LGA1200 uses 75mm. For LGA1700 they changed the shape to a rectangle, and I don’t recall the exact measurements. It’s unclear if height will be a problem since the only LGA775 cooler I owned broke when it wasn’t installed properly.

Nono lga775. The past era. Before the i# lineup began. All before LGA1156.

Confirmed. The mounting dimensions for LGA775 and LGA115x vary, making it impossible to attach a cooler to LGA115x on LGA775 or LGA775 on LGA115x.

Lots of issues here. At least I understand now. No attempts to fix it. Look for freezer7pro, or the intel board won’t work at all. Thanks.
