Previous Avid and ProTools installation removed, yet Windows keeps launching this strange file on startup.
I uninstalled Avid - ProTools some time ago, but I’m unsure if I did it correctly. Recently, I kept receiving a strange file from Windows asking if I want to open it. When I tried opening it as a text file, it showed up bloatware left after uninstalling. I don’t know how to remove it. Since I’m not very tech-savvy, I’ve been struggling to figure out the best way to fix this. Any advice would be really helpful!
Consider using tools like Revo Uninstaller or IObit to remove leftover DLLs, registries, and folders. You can also manually delete files from these locations: C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local and C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming. Open the Run dialog by pressing Win + R, type %temp% and press Enter, then clear all files except the one warning you about.
