Purchased a second-hand Sapphire Nitro+ 6700XT and attempted installation on my existing system. During the POST process, the PC freezes at the graphics card, which is signaled by a red LED on the VGA_LED of the board. It becomes stuck and fails to start.

Notes:
- The seller provided a video showing the card running normally before being packed for shipment. No damage was reported upon receipt.
- This system successfully boots with integrated graphics or when a Palit 1050ti is present.
- I previously removed the Nvidia drivers using DDU before installing the 6700XT.
- Previous attempts using ff did not resolve the issue:
- Cleared CMOS via jumper
- Re-seated the 6700XT multiple times
- Tested all BIOS configurations on the 6700XT
- Booted after disconnecting everything except the back panel USB3.0 from the motherboard
- Ensured both 8-pin and 6-pin PCIE connectors were fully seated
- RAM, CPU, and drives remain unchanged since the system works with integrated graphics or the 1050ti.
- BIOS version is from 2012 (lol)
- The 6700XT lights up when the PC powers on, and the CPU fan starts.
- Problems persist even if the HDMI cable is connected to the 6700XT.

System Specifications:
CPU: i7 2600K (long-lasting stock version)
Motherboard: Asus P8Z68 V/GEN3
RAM: Team Elite 2x 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Power Supply: Thermaltake ToughPower Grand 750W (old model, no RGB)
Build Year: 2012

Questions:
- I've seen discussions online about using the 6700XT with a Sandybridge system. Some suggest the PSU might not provide stable power for the new card.
- Any insights on why this PC isn't booting with the 6700XT?
- I returned to the 1050ti and reinstalled its drivers temporarily. I'm considering finding another PC to test the 6700XT or seeking a high-wattage PSU. If that doesn't work, I might need to replace the PSU entirely and possibly upgrade the system in the future.

if there's a pc repair shop near you. Then you can test the 6700xt there.

In reality, even a mediocre 400w power supply could provide sufficient power for a GPU to display on the screen. Graphics cards typically only require significant power when heavily used (gaming, rendering, etc.). My thought is either: one or more of your PSU's PCI-E connectors are faulty, preventing the GPU from working unless all connections deliver the correct voltage and current, or
The video card itself might be defective, even if the seller says otherwise.

It seems the new card will work only with UEFI, while the motherboard supports only legacy BIOS.

Ensure the BIOS is configured for UEFI mode.

My Asus board has UEFI BIOS. I noticed a setting called ‘set priority pci rom’ and changed it to EFI compatible from legacy. After rebooting (the 1050ti was still connected), it didn’t boot past the splash screen and only displayed it in about 75% size. When I turned off the PC and installed the 6700xt, the same issue persisted. Also, I’ve already swapped my PSU for a quiet Pure Power 11 fm 750W unit.

I think the best move would be to connect this card to a newer system.
