So is there any difference if I upgrade to Win10 preview today instead of waiting for the 29 July one? Is there any difference?

You'll see numerous bugs and problems. OneDrive doesn't function properly on a computer running 8.1. Issues are affecting drivers from Nvidia, and 3D vision isn't working.

Absolutely, you won't receive an actual key for the Windows 10 beta just wait a couple of weeks, haha

One is a beta version and won’t function for more than a month or two before it stops working... and the other remains functional as long as you own it? That seems like a strong argument.

I'm using Windows 10 Build 10166 right now. Most issues seem to be gone, or at least I've spotted some. It's a solid option if you're testing it early, and by the 29th you won't even notice any differences. Edit: Many people claim it's still beta with plenty of bugs, making it unappealing. People are saying it has so many problems that it's not worth trying. They've already stopped updates to bring it to the final version. That means it's very stable now, so OEMs like HP and Dell can use it. Keep it in mind, the launch is just a few weeks away, and Microsoft has been fixing bugs rapidly.

Near RTM but not yet fully there. The main issue I've faced with the newest release is the wireless connection panel sometimes fails to appear, requiring a restart. It's unclear if this is due to a driver problem or Windows 10 itself. My desktop works without issues. I'm using an Nvidia GPU with the latest drivers. It's worth mentioning that I only install drivers for my hardware and avoid extra software like GeForce Experience or Intel RAID controller panel, which I haven't used. If these are the source of problems, I'm not sure what they are.

If the issue stems solely from a single app, a fresh installation of the official version is recommended (restore Windows 7/8), and then upgrade to Windows 10. Otherwise, the problem might be related to your graphics card drivers, since universal apps are often fully rendered on the GPU. A few times I encountered similar strange behavior on one system while it worked on another. Clearing the Insider Preview resolved the issue completely.

I can't reserve win 10 because I don’t have the icon anymore. I used to have it, but after reinstalling Windows 7, it disappeared.

Launch Notepad. Paste the provided command and press Return. Navigate to the registry path specified, locate the relevant keys, and adjust values accordingly. Modify the error level to zero before proceeding. Run the script using the command prompt, ensuring you have administrative privileges. Execute the file from the saved location as instructed.
