Hello! There seems to be an issue with the USB device installation on Windows. Would you like to turn off the automatic driver installation so you can choose your own driver?

It has consistently functioned this way. Windows places its own driver, and you can then install a separate proprietary one if desired. The Windows driver does not block the installation of another driver above it.

JayGau, regarding the "Always trust this provider" setting, it's possible to revoke permissions after installation. The option was available initially, and you should be able to change it later.

You can also disable or turn off the Windows "plug and play" service. Then install your driver and restore it. However, keep in mind that Windows links USB drivers to specific ports. You should open the Device Manager, locate the hidden devices section, and remove any greyed-out entries under the USB tree to prevent problems.
