Windows 10 often changes the microphone volume even when you think you've fixed it, making it hard to hear clearly. It's been especially frustrating lately while working from home and playing games with friends. You're looking for a way to completely turn off Windows and any app that tries to adjust your mic level, so you can keep it at 50% only.

Windows doesn't adjust your microphone volume by itself. The setting depends on the program you're running — which ones might be causing the problem?

Starting certain COD and CSGO titles along with a new platform named UserTesting, these applications modify the microphone volume in Windows audio settings, leading to problems across all my apps, while I have full discretion over it.

I'm not completely confident about that. Disabling Exclusive Control might have fixed the problem. Have you checked if you can change "When Windows detects communications actively:" to "Do nothing" in the Sound Control Panel under Communications?
