I own an LG Gram 16" 2in1 that I purchased three years ago. All its components are from 2020. Recently, while playing a game, it required a newer Intel Xe graphics driver version. I downloaded the latest update from Intel Xe Graphics Windows (version 31), but whenever Windows updates, it automatically reinstalls the older 2020 version. There’s no way to stop this behavior, as it keeps happening every time an update occurs.

It has an option in the update settings, but when installation begins it continues even after the toggle is activated.

Same problem with my AMD drivers. I changed the settings but nothing works, and I still need to do a full reinstall after an update.

It isn't necessarily the same driver every time. You can obtain the diagcab file from the provided link and use it to prevent that particular update.

It's usually the Intel Graphics driver involved, so I'll attempt that and update you on the outcome.
