I regularly restart my PC and the Biostar display appears (standard) followed by a prompt asking when to skip the disc scan. If I press it, it jumps to Windows after an unusually slow load and if I don’t, it scans the C drive (SSD Adata SU650 240GB) then waits a long time before opening Windows. I’m sure the SSD is fine and don’t have another motherboard with an M.2 slot for testing. Any advice on resolving or disabling this behavior? It has been occurring over several days. I've tried running it multiple times on Windows, but it keeps happening again.
I'm still checking online but might need to use that option. Appreciate the assistance!
Open Command Prompt by searching for it and right-click to run as administrator. Execute the command: chkdsk C: /f /r /x. After completion, restart your system and the automatic disk check should disappear. If it persists, consider these three methods to disable it from the provided link. Warning: These issues often stem from blue screens—your OS may have errors that the check disk can fix. If problems remain, you can restore your system using the installation media to preserve your files. Good luck!
Thanks for the assistance. Your PC reset worked, and I'm glad I could help!
