In recent weeks, my F3 key began pressing randomly without any input. The problem has intensified over time, and today it started double-tapping F3 whenever it happens. I've checked: all drivers and firmware are current, tried another keyboard, and confirmed it's not a hardware fault—Corsair software doesn't detect any key presses, yet it still triggers F3. Ran a Malwarebytes scan, which came back clean. Cleared browser cache and cookies to rule out web browser interference. I'm unsure what to do next except wipe the OS and reinstall. The issue is that with all my Steam games, restoring takes days, so I prefer avoiding that if possible but am open to a clean install if needed. Thanks for any advice. This PC is custom-built, has a 5800X3D, ASUS Prime X570-P board, and runs Windows 11 on a TUF GAMING 4080 via fresh NVMe SSD after a clean install.

The macro was still active despite my belief it was turned off. Thanks for your help! I actually own a mouse with adjustable buttons, the Logitech G502 X. I configured a macro to prevent getting banned for not playing afk on a GTA V roleplay server where the afk timer was too sensitive. I didn’t realize it was enabled. I accessed the Logitech G Hub software and disabled it now so it won’t happen again.
