Hello, this is my first visit since I’m facing a problem right now that requires immediate assistance.

I’m experiencing an issue with ALT + Tabbing on my PC while playing games at resolutions different from my native settings. Usually, it causes only freezing during the ALT + TAB action, but this time it freezes the whole system for about two seconds after three seconds, and then it restarts. It’s not a major problem, but it’s quite bothersome.

I have a setup with three monitors: one Ultrawide and two standard ones.
First Monitor: 3440 x 1440
Second Monitor: 1920 x 1080
Third Monitor: 1920 x 1080

The game resolution is set below my native resolution, which leads to freezing after ALT + TAB for roughly three seconds. I’ve adjusted many Display Settings options, but the issue still occurs. When I open the Display Settings window, the lag only happens during the ALT + TAB action, not after three seconds. However, without opening the settings, it still lags for three seconds as usual. This has been happening for three days now and is really frustrating.

Can anyone assist me?
I searched online for solutions, reset my PC, but the problem continues.

There are several methods to address the issue.
Initially:
Examine Reliability History/Monitor for any error codes, warnings, or informational events that happen right before or at the time of the lags. Also check Update History for any failed or problematic updates recorded around the onset of the problems.
Second:
Open Task Manager and Resource Monitor to monitor system performance while pressing ALT + TAB etc. Use both tools simultaneously but only one at a time. Keep the tool windows open and visible during testing, and adjust them to focus on specific components or system activities.
The goal is to understand what the system is doing (or attempting to do) during the lags.
Other tools are available—just begin with the above steps now.

Did you discover a solution? I'm experiencing the same issue when switching tabs out of the non-native resolution game.
