Present the DVD as an Audio CD format.
The records inside the English lessons’ discs are labeled as standard Audio CDs, even though they’re actually DVDs. Before reacting with outrage, the professor allowed me to duplicate these files so students who want to learn English could access them. I used my laptop, placed the discs, and opened K3b to view the “Audio CD” section—everything appeared normal. I repeated the process for the other two. Then I tried a blank disc; it worked, but later I encountered an issue with the 800MB disc that didn’t show up properly. After some searching online, I attempted another copy using Dolphin, which revealed multiple folders with different audio formats (MP3, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis, etc.) and even a “FullCD” file containing all tracks together. When inspecting the properties of the original disc, it showed a massive size of 4.3GiB. The discs were claiming to be Audio CDs in K3b, but when I opened one in VLC as an Audio CD, it played correctly. I realized that copying the data from these discs felt like a workaround, though I wanted a more reliable method. I considered sharing this on forums or the provided link, but ultimately chose to post here instead.
Use imgBurn! or alcohol120 to generate a disk image of the discs.
Because I need the ability to create precise duplicates. Also, I’m uncertain about CD readers handling DVDs, especially with folders. I was wondering if anyone could explain how this is feasible. Edited November 9, 2019 by elsandosgrande A minor adjustment made.
