Configure your Xbox Series S/X gamepad for Mupen64 on Linux Mint 22.3 by installing Mupen64Plus-Qt, setting up the appropriate drivers, and ensuring the hardware is recognized in your system settings. Use a wired connection and follow the official setup guides provided by Mupen64.

I configured my gamepad in mupen64plus-qt but it fails with Xbox Series S/X on that setup. It functions properly in PCSX2.

You configured your Xbox Series S/X controller in MUPEN64PLUS-QT, but it isn’t responding in MUPEN64PLUS-QT. It functions properly in PCSX2.

You simply install Mupen on Steam, and it will identify your XS controller. (Hopefully)
