Just played three days back and fell short in SEVEN. HEROES. My A-Team got hit hard—they were level 4 characters. I also lost my level 3 frontliners I was working on. It’s hard to believe how badly I was affected. I lost a few ancestral items and, of course, my top characters and favorite lineup. Anyone else in the game right now? It feels like it’s just a lot... fun.

I really like this game. It's likely the only one with permanent death mechanics I find enjoyable.

I'm getting back into it again. I spent around 30 hours in early access, which is a bit frustrating when trying to resume where I left off. The cove and Darkest Dungeon weren't finished yet, so I had to wait. Overall, I think the game turned out okay and I don’t mind the corpse or heart attack elements.

Yeah, I actually enjoy corpses. I like parties that shift things around and mess with enemies a lot. Heart attacks are fine, they happen sometimes, but they don’t ruin the game. I was facing the swine king when I ran into the shambler on my way to battle him >______>, I defeated the shambler, though I wasn’t in top shape for the boss fight and lost my combat vestal which was important for debuffing the boss >_]. I conquered the swine boss with Houndmaster, Man-at-Arms, and an arbalist (pro tip).

It's a fun game, but don't become too close to the characters.

Now characters can be brought back via uncommon city happenings. An occultist returned, lived again, and then passed away once more.
