So you think folks are being too sensitive when they tell me not to push this board too hard?
Most people tend to overclock boards priced over $100, but a skilled overclocker can work with nearly any board that has adjustable BIOS settings—just keep an eye on power usage.
Stick with your current setting and you should be okay.

Take a quick glance ^
Scroll through and read the input.
Thanks SR-71. Noticing that message board threads like the link you shared are what keeps me on edge about pushing this board further. Even though I’m not having any issues right now, I’ve added a fan to my VRMs.
Ahhhh, so torn!!!

So you all think folks are being a bit too sensitive when they tell me not to push this board too hard? Most people tend to overclock boards priced over $100, but a skilled overclocker can work with nearly any model that has adjustable BIOS options—just keep an eye on power usage. If you keep your current settings, everything should be okay. Thanks for the advice, Bob. I'm really thinking it through and might go for a gentle boost under 1.4v just to stay sane.

Bob1033, if you feel anxious, keep it where you are. You’re bound to go crazy. A 4.6 rating is fine, stay put. The 200 Mhz boost won’t make much of a difference unless you also tweak the FSB, RAM, etc. Then you’ll see more improvement from the full overclock. Good luck!~~~ Suferbus

So you all think folks are reacting too much when they tell me not to push this board too hard?
Most people do it with boards over $100, but a skilled overclocker can work on nearly any board with BIOS tweaks—just keep an eye on power.

Thanks Bob. I'm thinking it through right now. Likely I'll keep it mild, maybe around 1.4v just to stay sane.
Haha, just keep it where you are—that's a solid overclock. Happy overclocking!
