I've played this game for a while but couldn't use a keyboard. I'm adjusting the controller settings to suit my preferences—using an Xbox 360 emulator and a PS3 controller. Currently, the R2 button accelerates and puts me in drive mode, while holding Circle triggers reverse. The problem is that the game feels like I'm only pressing R2 halfway, so the Semi Truck doesn't reach full speed. It seems I need to use the keyboard to activate cruise control. Anyone have ideas on how to fix this?

Consider using one of the four available axes (two joysticks) for throttle control. This approach seems more aligned with the X360 controller emulator rather than an ETS2 problem. There might be a way to enable the emulator to directly handle keyboard keypresses.

It might be possible, I'll attempt the joystick method though it feels less comfortable than using buttons. I could also try the keyboard option later.

What emulator are you employing? With GlovePie, you can "multiply" an input, which makes it register twice as difficult. This means a full press equals two half presses in this scenario.

The download is being sent directly to your device. Please disregard the rest of this site as it lacks confidence in the software. Note that Glovepie is entirely self-written using basic scripts and a poorly designed IDE. There are still some examples available to help you get started.
