I noticed my PC stops working after installing another 16 GB of RAM. I’m unsure if it’s a compatibility problem since they’re the same model but have different heatsink colors. I own two 8 GB Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB units—one white and one black. I don’t know if the color affects performance or how to set them up in BIOS. My motherboard is an ASUS B550-A GAMING ROG STRIX.

Only when XMP was enabled did the system experience a crash.

Use CPU-Z to check the details of your RAM modules. Installing multiple sticks increases load on the memory controller; with XMP enabled, maintaining four at high speeds may not work. Start without XMP before trying.

I didn't attempt it either, and I'm unsure how to set up the BIOS for these devices. I only enabled the frequency setting of 3600 MHz. It's possible the XMP profile is enabled automatically, but I have no confirmation.

DOCP is AMD's adaptation of XMP. Consider disabling it to check if the issue remains. What is your processor model? Also, are the previous and current RAM units sharing the same model or revision number? You can locate this information on the white label sticker attached to the RAM modules.

I disabled the xmp and the issue vanished. However, having 32gb of RAM at 2133MHz is still an issue for me. I turned on de xmp but set it to 3200MHz and it now works fine. My CPU is a Ryzen 5 3600. I was considering upgrading to a 5600. Would that allow me to use 32gb at 3600MHz?

Well then perhaps it's what @Eigenvektor mentioned—the CPU's memory controller struggles with four RAM sticks at 3600Mhz. As for 5600, I'm not sure. What I know is that yes, four sticks can put a lot of strain on the controller. If you're certain, consider selling your existing RAM and purchasing a 2x16GB 3600 kit.
